Trader ⚖️

Trader moves resources between your own cities: Provider cities send, Consumer cities receive.

Access: Base

Basic setup

  1. Open the Hub and select Trader.
  2. Choose a Dispatch frequency (5 minutes to 6 hours; 30 minutes is recommended).
  3. Choose the default consumer mode: Fixed quantity or Threshold.
  4. Enter amounts for wood, stone, and silver.
  5. Open Trader - Role by city.
  6. Mark at least one city as Provider and one as Consumer.
  7. Go back to Senate and switch Trader on.

A Provider always keeps at least 20 of each resource and needs free merchants. To send to a city on another island, the Provider's marketplace must be level 5 or higher.

Consumer modes

  • Fixed quantity: the consumer receives the set amount every cycle.
  • Threshold: for each resource, the consumer receives the set amount only when its stock falls below the threshold. An amount of 0 turns that resource off.

Per-city settings

Each consumer can use the global mode and amounts or its own. Each provider can use the global Wait for full stock option or its own.

Other settings

  • Allow warehouse overflow: normally Trader sends less so the receiving warehouse does not overflow. Turn this on to skip that check; anything that does not fit is lost.
  • Wait for full stock: the provider only sends when it can cover the full requested amount. When off, it sends what it can.

When merchants cannot carry everything, Trader splits the load fairly across the requested resources. Resources already on their way are counted, so a consumer is not sent the same thing twice.

One-off transfers

Use Trader - Order queue to send resources from one of your cities to another. The total must be at least 100 resources.

  • Repeat: send the same transfer again after it arrives.
  • Priority: send it before other queued transfers.
  • Click a queued transfer to remove it.

Bulk transfer

Bulk transfer sends from several ticked cities to one recipient in a single go. The amounts you enter are the total to ship, not the recipient's final stock. For example, 30,000 wood means all the selected cities together send 30,000 wood.

  • Nearest cities first uses the shortest routes.
  • Highest resource availability first uses the cities with the most stock.
  • Each city sends at most once, a few seconds apart.

Recruiter supply and friends

Recruiter can ask your Provider cities for the resources a unit batch is missing. These shipments keep 150 of each resource in the Provider and never overfill the receiving warehouse.

Friends who approve a Recruiter batch also send from their own Provider cities. Their city stock is never shown to you.

One-off transfers, bulk transfers, and Recruiter supply still run when Trader is switched off, as long as Task Queue is on. Switching Trader off only stops the regular Provider → Consumer deliveries.

If nothing is sent

Check that:

  • at least one Provider and one Consumer are set;
  • amounts are above zero;
  • the Provider has stock and free merchants;
  • the Provider's marketplace is level 5+ for another island;
  • the dispatch frequency has passed; and
  • no pause is active and Task Queue is on.
